Why register?
You can get involved with the community. Registering allows you to post in the forums, submit articles, photos, news, and events.
Does it cost money?
No. This web site is a free service to the Vail community and people interested in the Vail area.
Do you keep my information private?
All of your information is kept private and secure. We will never sell or provide your email address or any other information to third parties.
Will you send me spam and junk email?
We will never send you unwanted emails.
The only time you will receive emails from us:
- If you posted in the forums and you checked the box to have reply notifications sent to your email.
- If you signed up for the Vail AZ Weather Alerts listserv system. You can remove yourself from this mailing list easily by following the direction in the bottom of the emails.
- If you check the box that says Mailing List during the sign up process. At this time, we are not sending email to people who have checked this box. This feature is something we may use in the future to notify members of new features and events. When we do eventually implement this feature, you will have the option of turning your notifications off.
How does VailAZ.com make money?
This web site is supported by local advertisers who pay to have banners space on the site. Our sponsors care about you and want your business. When you have a moment, please visit our sponsors by clicking on the banner. Make sure you tell them that you saw it on this web site.
In all actuality, we do not make money at this time. Thousands of hours and dollars have been donated towards the development the site and it is a constant work in progress.
Where is the Weather information coming from?
The weather information is being provided by equipment located near the big tower at Colossal Cave Road and Success. This is also the location of Vail Camera #1. The flash flood warnings and other weather warnings are provided by the National Weather Service.
